ELECTRONIC PRE-PRESS / MAIL PROCESSING ASSOCIATE

Position Overview
In the role of Electronic Pre-press/Mail Processing Associate, you will retrieve customer-supplied electronic files and load them onto the Prepress server, preparing them for print.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Check customer supplied files for completeness using programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, along with some Quark Xpress
  • Identify potential problems, and communicate missing or problematic components with CSR, sales and prepress, as needed
  • Process/import customer data files using varying applications such as FusionPro, Bulk mailer, PitStop Pro, and Excel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prepress production or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including the demonstration of tact, sensitivity, and professionalism
  • Understanding of printing terminology and basic print specifications including margins, bleeds, etc.
  • Strong computer skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, MS Excel, MS Word, and Quark Xpress; experience working with Kodak Prinergy and Preps Imposition software a plus
  • Working knowledge of importing/converting data files between Excel, CSV, and Tab Delimited formats; experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript a plus
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods
  • Ability to manage independent workload; ability to consistently meet internal and external deadlines

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly (Mon-Fri, 8am – 4pm)
Compensation: $18/hour (Salary would be considered for individuals with experience; complete benefits package included)
